Biodiesel Production

 

Biodiesel (FAME): UCO is a premier, low-carbon feedstock for producing biodiesel (Fatty Acid Methyl Ester). The conversion process is well-established. Using UCO results in a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions (often over 80%) compared to fossil diesel, helping countries meet renewable energy and carbon reduction targets (e.g., EU RED II).

 

Renewable Diesel (HVO): UCO can be hydrotreated to produce Renewable Diesel or Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO). HVO is a chemically identical “drop-in” fuel for petroleum diesel, requiring no engine modifications and offering superior performance in cold weather. This market is rapidly growing.

 

Aviation Biofuel (SAF): A pioneering and high-impact application. After advanced processing, UCO is used to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), which is critical for decarbonizing the aviation industry.
